25th season winner of ‘Dancing with the stars’ actor Jordan Fisher recently proposed to his long time sweetheart, Ellie woods.
According to People;
They’ve known each other since they were teenagers, and
Fisher decided to take things back to where they all started by planning an
elaborate proposal in their hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. Fisher, who is
also known for his role as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton in the Broadway
production of Hamilton, prepped for two months before he finally
got down on one knee at Woods’ parents’ beach house.“It’s a really special place for us, and when we started to
pull into the neighborhood he was just going on about how we’ve been friends
for so long, and I wasn’t really picking up on it,” Woods said. “Then we pulled
into my parents’ house and I was like, ‘What is that?’ We stopped, got out of
the car and Jordan walked me to our backyard where there’s a little deck over
the pond.”They shared that a friend appeared and began singing one of
their favorite songs: “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar. That’s when Fisher
tearfully popped the question. “I’m an emotional person, so I was sobbing as
well,” he said. He eventually offered Woods’ her stunning 2.75-carat
pear-shaped engagement
ring, which he helped custom-designhimself.“I knew her favorite cut. I think it’s super classy, and I
had a picture in my head of what I wanted it to look like with the pave
flooding down the side of the ring,” he said. They said they’re planning their wedding to happen in a
year. Until then, the couple is reeling from how special their engagement was.
After he proposed, Fisher invited close friends and family to celebrate the
engagement.“Being able to have my folks there, her folks and her
brother and his girlfriend … we all go way back,” he shared. “It’s so, so
special.”
