Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale literally went down on one knee and proposed to his longtime sweetheart Shatta Michy a few days ago.

The singer popped the question at the launch of his album titled “Reign” at the Fantasy Dome inside the Trade Fair in front of his fans.

The couple has been together for some years and welcomed their first child, Majesty in 2015.

Beat FM OAP, Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi will be walking down the aisle with Femisoro Ajayi on November 3rd, 2018.

Nobody saw this coming as the duo were obviously very hush-hush about their relationship.

The church wedding will hold at Tinubu, Lagos before their reception at The Podium Event Center, Lekki.

Femisoro Ajayi is presently Falz’ manager. He is also an entrepreneur, entertainment and media consultant.

He granted an interview with The Net, regretting that their wedding plans had leaked as against their initial plan.

The Story Of This 32-Year Old Ugandan Woman Who Married Herself Will Leave You Tongue-Tied

Lulu Jemimah, 32, was fed-up of her family lecturing her on settling down. She decided to ‘marry’ herself in a shoestring ceremony in Uganda this summer.

The Oxford student admits her parents were ‘a bit confused’ about her decision. The day cost just £2 (approximately, 956 Naira) – for her taxi to the pub venue – thanks to gifts from friends.

But marriage is the last thing on her mind as she undertakes a masters in creative writing at the prestigious university.

So, in a bid to get her parents off her back, she decided to stage a mock wedding and sent formal invites out to her nearest and dearest.

She hired a dress, walked through the venue to the traditional wedding march and even gave a speech to her guests explaining the lack of a groom.

Lulu admits her Ugandan parents are baffled by her decision – but said she feels it was the perfect commitment to herself and her studies.

Proud Lulu said: ‘I have a strong passion in life and I am committed to achieving my goals at becoming an academic.

‘But all my family wanted to ask me was when I planned to get married – which is very important back in Uganda – followed by when I would be having children and starting a family.

‘My father wrote my wedding speech when I turned 16. Every birthday my mother prayed for me and in recent years this has included a plea for a good husband’

Oh well! What can we say? We wish her the best in all her endeavours.

Aside from being a groomsman or a chief bridesmaid, one of the typical roles of a best friend at a wedding is to give a toast. The significance of a wedding toast is to wish the couple the best of health and good luck for many years to come.

Although these days, it has been tweaked to talking about how the couples met, what they like and dislike et al while still wishing them a beautiful married life of course.

1. Introduction

This is a no-brainer because whatever speech you are giving you have to introduce yourself. Make it brief so as not to bore any of the guests. Also, include where and how you met the couple.

2. Cue Cards

These are preferred to a long sheet of paper especially if you are certain you may forget a line or two. To avoid/reduce babbling, use cue cards.

3.  Take  Your Time

We know, it’s not a term paper but you would not want to mess it up right? Practise as frequently as you can before the D-day.

Ensure you shower praises on both parties and not just your best friend or your best friend’s spouse.

6. No Dirty Linen Allowed

Kindly avoid mentioning your friend’s exes and escapades. That’s the last anybody wants to hear on their big day. Don’t be a party pooper.

Rapper Sarkodie has married his girlfriend, Tracy in Accra over the weekend.

The two have dated for 10 years and have a two-year-old daughter together.

Sarkodie, whose legal name is Michael Owusu Addo and Tracy Ama Addo tied the knot Thursday evening at Tema Community 18 in a traditional custom. The couple were also clad in beautifully designed Kente fabrics. It was stunning!
