What is Iludio?

Iludio is an online platform to help make African event planning and gift shopping easier, better and painless. Bring your vision to life and discover vendors, gift registry, planning tools, inspiration and more.

How does the gift registry work?

  1. You create a gift registry and add desired items and cash funds
  2. You share your gift registry with friends and family especially through a link in your invitation cards
  3. Family, friends and guests purchase gifts and you get notified for every purchase
  4. You receive gifts after your event and cash funds within 5 business days.

What does a gift registry look like?

Can I exchange a gift or purchased item?

For physical items that have shipped (i.e. the order status is completed), you must contact us within 10 business days after the order is received to initiate an exchange. Items must be in original condition including packaging.

For physical items that have not shipped and are part of a gift registry, you can follow these steps to exchange gifts:

Transferring amount from item(s) to your wallet

1) Login to your gift registry account page
2) Click the “Items” tab
3) Scroll down to the bottom and click on the “Transfer” button.
4) Find the item for which you want to send the amount received to the wallet and then click on the first credit card icon (white icon) in the last column of the row containing the item.
5) After confirming that you want to send all the amount received to the wallet, it will move the amount from the item into your wallet.
6) Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each item to move corresponding amount into your wallet.

Viewing amount in your wallet

1) Scroll down and click “Done”
2) Click on “View Wallet” and ensure the amount matches the total amount you have received for the items you moved to the wallet.

Transferring amount from your wallet to item(s)

1) Click on the “Transfer” button at the bottom.
2) Find the item which you want to fund from the wallet and then click on the last credit card icon (black icon) in the last column of the row containing the item.
3) If your wallet has enough money to fulfill the item, the required amount needed to completely fulfill the item would be moved from the wallet and the item would be marked as fulfilled.
4) Repeat step 2 for each item to fund that item
5) Once you are done, scroll down to the bottom and click on the “Done” button

What is the foreign currency (dollar) to naira exchange rate?

The current rate is ₦1200 per dollar and subject to change. We are not an FX company so can’t use a volatile black market rate which is not an official rate for ecommerce purchases.

We ONLY pay out cash funds in naira. Any contribution to physical gifts cannot be converted to cash funds.

Shipping/Delivery and Return

What is covered for shipping and delivery?

Shipping and delivery involves getting item / product to your residential or office compound. We only deliver to your doorstep if house is no the ground floor. We do not carry items up a flight of stairs or deliver inside your house. We also do not offer installation or assembly or haul-away services. You need to contact another party to perform those services.

Do you support shipping outside Nigeria?

We currently don’t support shipping products outside Nigeria.

What if I did not get my refund?

If you haven’t received the funds or an email about your refund after 1-2 weeks, contact us via the contact form.

How and when do I get my refund?

Your order will be refunded to the original payment method. For card purchases, the refund can take up to 3 business days after reversal to reflect.

What can I return for a refund?

Check the product’s page for the seller’s return policy. If none exists, then our site-wide return policy (found in the footer) applies.

How do I return an item?

Complete a return form and place it inside a parcel or box, and ship it to the return address in your original packaging.
All returned items are inspected. We try hard to accept returns. If an item is not in a great condition, we can reject it.
Your item(s) is/are still your responsibility until it is received. Ensure it is well packaged for return and not damaged during shipping.
Any item(s) not returned to us is not our responsibility.

Can I order a sample?

Currently, there is no way to order a sample. We provide great description and images for items.

Account Management

How do I change my password?

  1. Click “Log In” in the top menu
  2. Click “Forgot Password” link in the Login page.
  3. Enter your username or email address and then “Get Password” button. A reset password email will be sent to your email address, if you already have an account.

How do I deactivate or delete my account?

To deactivate your gift registry

  1. Login to the site
  2. Go to your gift registry management page and under gift registry privacy, you can set the privacy and visibility to “Deactivate” and save the changes. Note that this can take up to 30 days to disappear in Google searches.

To delete your login, send us an email using the same email account you want removed.

For Registry Creators

Getting Started

When should I create a registry?

You should create a registry as soon as possible, so you can give your family and friends enough time to discover gifts and for you to get more gifts.

Can I create a gift registry if I live outside Nigeria?

Yes, you can create a registry with only honeymoon & cash funds. Payments have to be disbursed to a Naira account.

Do you charge any fees for your service?

It is absolutely free to setup and use Iludio Gift Registry. We only charge fees on cash funds which guests pay during checkout.

Do you offer group gifting?

Yes we do have a group gift option.

What is group gifting?

Group gifting allows guests to contribute money towards a high priced item in your registry that you have less chance to receive. It is perfect for colleagues and friends who want to buy an item together.

Creating Your Registry

Can I make my registry private?

Yes, you can make your gift registry private or public. You can also change this setting at anytime. Private will require guests to enter a passcode to access your registry.

What's the number of items to have on a registry?

You should have a good variety of items at different prices. The more guests you expect, the more items you should add.

How can I update my registry or add/update the items?

You can log in and modify your registry at anytime and add or remove items.

Receiving Gifts

How do I know the gifts that I have received?

We provide a gift tracker page to view all gifts and cash funds received.

When do I receive my gifts?

All physical gifts will be delivered together after your event within 3 weeks. We will coordinate with you to schedule delivery.

Cash funds will be delivered within 5 business days to a Nigerian bank account that you provide.

Can I get cash for physical items purchased or contributions to physical gifts?

We only provide store credit so you can pick other item(s) of similar value.

Can store credits or gift cards be redeemed for cash?

No, they can’t be redeemed for cash.

Cash Funds

Are there any fees for cash funds?

Yes, we charge a low handling cost of 3.5% + ₦250 to cover payment processing fees, bank charges and other related costs.

What currencies do you pay out cash funds?

We currently pay out only in naira to a Nigerian bank account. If you received a foreign currency payment, we will give you the equivalent based on our exchange rate at the time payment was made.

For Guests and Friends

How do I find a gift registry?

You can find a registry here. Enter the first name or last name of the gift registry receipient and then Search.

Can I include a personal message with my gift?

Yes, you can include a message during checkout. Your message will be visible for the couple in their gift tracker.

How do I make a payment?

We accept payment via debit/credit cards and bank transfer (only for naira). Applicable payment options will appear during checkout. Payments must be made in full.

Do you accept Cash on Delivery?

Currently, we don’t accept cash on delivery.

Why can't I find card payment option at checkout?

Currently, we only support card payments for transactions less than 1,000,000 naira. For transactions over 1,000,000 naira, kindly use direct bank transfer option.

How do I become a vendor?

We are excited you want to join Iludio as a vendor. To get started, create an account as a vendor. Login and complete a listing form. We will review your submission and approve if everything looks good.

What is a Featured Vendor listing?

A Featured Vendor listing is a paid-tier listing. The listing shows up first in the appropriate category and default searches, except for sorted searches.
