How To Kill Cold Feet On/Before Your Wedding Day

bridew

You have been looking forward to your wedding for a while now but as the wedding date draws near, you begin to have second thoughts about it. Any conversation about the wedding no longer excites you instead it frightens you.

Thoughts of walking down the aisle with different pairs of eyes watching makes you want to puke. It’s okay. You do not hate your partner and you are not an alien. You are just nervous.

Here are a few tips that can help you:

1. Know Your Worries

Like the saying goes, there’s no smoke without fire. Figure out your major concerns or what you could possibly worry about.

2. Stay Positive

If you are feeling down, do not be around people who will add fuel to the already burning fire. Speak positively regardless of how you feel deep down and talk to positive minded people.

3. Be Vocal

Whatever fears you may have, talk about it with trustworthy and supportive people. It will go a long way.

4. Pay Attention To Your Breathing

Focus on your breath, and in particular, your diaphragm. And become calm – yoga is a brilliant way to learn body awareness, build stamina to stress and remain flexible, emotionally and physically.

5. Think Of Your Partner

Recall why you made this decision in the first place. Remind yourself of all the things that make your partner awesome.

6. Rehearse Mentally

Walk through what will happen on the day, from beginning to end in your mind. Let your primary focus be on your role.

7. Have Fun

Take nothing personal and have as much fun as you can before and on your big day.

It’s not awkward that you feel tensed or anxious after-all. You are moving into an entirely different phase of your life. Regardless, live, love, laugh and bask in the euphoria of being a newly wed.

Here’s How To Effortlessly Plan The Perfect Outdoor Wedding

An outdoor wedding as the prefix already implies is one that’s held in an open space void of the confines of a wall or barricade.

Although some brides are skeptical about this, others appreciate the uniqueness and serenity of an outdoor wedding.

Most people prefer a garden, a backyard (big), park space, inn or hotel with a beautiful outdoor area. Some are daring enough to wed on a beach. How romantic!

Here’s how to plan an almost hassle-free outdoor wedding.

1.  Weather

Even the Bible says there is a time for everything. You obviously cannot have an ideal outdoor wedding during the rainy season and you would not want the sun to turn your guests into mince pie.

Keep it at the back of your mind that the hottest time of the day is between 1 and 3 pm. Endeavor to work within an appropriate time frame.

2. Decor Arrangement

Plan in advance the kind of decor you want to grace the scenery and how you intend to move and put them in place.

3. Permits

If you intend to have your outdoor wedding in a public spot/space, ensure you go all out to get the proper permits before you go ahead with your wedding.

4. Information

Kindly let your guests know prior to the day that they would be attending an outdoor wedding. This could help them carefully pick out proper clothes among others.

5. Renting

Renting a few items for your outdoor wedding is almost inevitable. A portable restroom will have to do if your open space has no public restroom.

You can also rent a tent to save your guests from the sun (if the weather gets too hot).

6. Wedding Cake

If you intend to display your wedding cake under the sun then your best bet is  to order/make a fondant cake because it will hold up much better than a butter cream cake.

7. Insects

Your food depot should be carefully protected against insects like mosquitoes and the like.

Placing citronella candles all through the space can help control insects. Furthermore, it is advised to fumigate the space a few days before the wedding if it is prone to insect infestation.

8. Lighting

Ensure your lighting is adequately taken care of. Most outdoor weddings run through the evening and no one wants a black out in the middle of the celebration.

As charming as an outdoor wedding is the process of planning can be quite laborious. Whatever the case maybe try not to get overwhelmed and have the best time of your life while at it.

How To Conveniently Choose The Perfect Wedding Dress

Yay! You are getting married. He proposed you said yes. You are excited, plans are in place and you are about to marry the love of your life but there’s a bit of a  problem – finding the right wedding dress is laborious. You are alarmed because you had not envisaged it to be that tasking.

This article consists of  a few steps that can make your quest for an ideal wedding dress trouble-free.

Basically the dress of your dreams just like the man of your dreams should make you happy, comfortable and at ease.

Here are a few steps that can help you.

1. Start Early

Do not go hell for leather in a quest for a wedding dress. You may crash land. Start in good time. No rush. Set aside adequate time for trying on dresses, adjustments, fittings and selection of accessories to go with your dress.

It is wise to take your preferred accessories with you while shopping for your wedding dress. This would help you to know what jewelry goes with what dress to avoid surprises or disappointment on the D-day.

2.  Be Deliberate

If you are uncertain about what you really want you’d find it pretty hard settling for something in the end.

Screenshot/save styles that catch your fancy on Instagram (especially). Also, create a Pinterest board to save designs. This would make it easier for you when you go shopping. Best to have something in mind before visiting the stores.

3. Comfort

Like it was stated on the first paragraph, you should feel at ease in your wedding dress just the way your Mr. right makes you feel at ease.

Hence, pick a dress that makes you look like a queen and still lets you breathe. A dress that speaks of your personality.

Find a pattern that flatters your figure. If tall, choose a dress that will magnify your curves. If short,  dresses with too many layers will swallow you up and make you look smaller. Stay away.

For curvy ladies, tight fitting dresses are just right to accentuate your curves.

4. Don’t Ride Solo

Too many cooks definitely spoil the broth still no man is an island. As much as it is not advised to go wedding dress shopping with so many people you should go with at least one person ( a bosom friend or trusted family member) to help make  a decision.

5. Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover

Do not be too excited after sighting a dress on its hanger until you have tried it on. Assumptions are a no-no when choosing an ideal dress. Most designs  may look exquisite until you have tried them on.

6. Budget

Go with what suits your budget. Do not go above it. You do not want to go bankrupt after your wedding.

It may be the dress of your dreams et al but do not forget to consider your budget. This is very important.

After making that ideal choice, you can now heave a sigh of relief. Grace your wedding like a queen and slay in that dress!
