The beauty of life is in variety and no two people can ever be alike. In fact, dynamism and uniqueness are part of the components that make the world. People have different ways they handle and deal with things seeing that intending brides are nothing but normal individuals with varying wants. It is odd to expect brides to want the same things and feel the same way.

Here are different kinds of brides you may most likely come across or have come across.

1. Angry Bird (Sorry, Bride)

This one yells at anything and anyone. She is just angry. They are obsessed with having a flawless day so anything that remotely looks like it intends to get in their way takes the heat. She stops at nothing to give herself the near-perfect wedding day.

2. Frugal Bride

Life after the ceremony is apparently very important to her and making sure she doesn’t exceed the wedding budget for any reason. She has winged her way through most of the preparations ensuring that she cuts costs as much as she can.

3. Spendthrift Bride

The direct opposite of the frugal bride. She wants to have the wedding of the century and doesn’t care whose ox is gored or whose account is in red. She just wants all the good things in all the expensive ways that they usually come. The word ‘budget’ is foreign to her.

4. The Unbothered Bride

She is living strictly off vibes and just wants to be happy in the end with no added stress. Can’t be bothered about the fit of her wedding dress, the number of people who turn up or the aesthetics of her cake. She just wants to get married and move on.

5. The Party Animal

She doesn’t mind sleeping through the formalities. She is sitting pretty waiting for the reception so she can party HARD! She is almost like the unbothered bride but in her own case, she is in for a super good time.

6. Prim And Proper Bride

She wants everything to be more perfect than perfect. Every single thing, from her hair to the table cloth on the guests’ tables and she is checking constantly to be certain that nothing is on the path to hitting the rocks.

7. The ‘Juliet’ Bride

Completely in la-la land. She can’t wait to just spend the rest of her life with her groom. Just wants love. love. love. She unabashedly shows this as she randomly keeps touching her groom.

The different kinds of bride you may likely meet are all interesting in their own individual ways and it is amazing to see. In the end, they all have one goal to have a beautiful wedding ceremony and an even better marriage afterwards.

Get Over A Broken Engagement On The Double With These Tips

Ada gets home and flings her bag on her couch. She is completely exhausted. Phew! Wedding preparations are so tasking! She mutters to herself in between deep breaths.

The 29 year old’s body is itching for a nap but she has to put a call through to the love of her life.

Her phone buzzes and a text comes in from a strange number.

It read; ”Hi Ada! I left the country a few hours ago. I don’t think I can go through with this. I am not in that headspace for a decision this huge. I am sorry to break it this way. I don’t know what to say but you deserve better. I hope you forgive me someday. Love, Terry”.

Ada froze for a bit and then slumped.

Most of us can relate to a failed relationship/courtship but not a broken engagement. Ending a relationship is one thing but ending an engagement is a different ball game.

Here are a few tips that may help you get through;

1. Cry The Pain Away

People are always about withholding your tears but getting through a hard time is a bit easier if you let it all out and sometimes, tears are your escape. So yeah, LET IT ALL OUT!

2. Forgive And Let Go!

The first step to healing is forgiveness. It is most definitely hard to forget but you have to forgive.  It may seem petty but if you have to delete phone numbers and block them on social media, then by all means. Your healing is important and it is essential that you do what it takes.

Do not try to communicate or be ‘friends’ with your ex at this very sensitive time.

3.  Inform Family And Friends

The earlier you share the news the better. This will help you to avoid certain questions or comments. You don’t have to say the whole story but since a wedding had been planned then you have to let your family/friends know the state of things.

It also shows that you have accepted the situation.

4. Take Care Of You

Oh yes! You owe yourself that. Remind yourself that you are good enough. Do that one (positive) thing you could not do because of your ex. Travel (if you can afford it).

As much as you need friends at this time, you also need your space. Your alone time to process your thoughts and come to terms with what just happened. Write down all your emotions in a piece of paper, it’s almost like you are transferring energy. Burn that paper if you please.

Speak to yourself in a positive way. You are enough so choose you again and again.

5. Have A Support System

Alone time is important. Spending time with loved ones is essential too. A problem shared is half solved, right? Everyone needs a shoulder to lean on in trying times. You are not any different.

It’s hard to get over someone you loved to the extent of preparing to spend the rest of your life with them but life happens.

You have to keep fighting as long as you have breath in you. Weep, scream, let go, accept and forgive. In the end, you will be just fine. Healing is a process but you will get there. The scars are sure but they’d never hurt like the wounds they’d only remind you of what you were strong enough to survive.

Lady Gaga finally confirmed engagement to Christian Carino at Elle‘s 25th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles on Monday. Lady Gaga confirmed the rumours by saying “my fiancé Christian” during her speech.

In her words:

“Thank you to all the loved ones in my life,” Gaga said, according to Cosmopolitan. “Bobby [Campbell, her manager], I love you. Everyone at table five. My fiancé, Christian. All the loved ones in my life who take care of me every day.”

Rumours had it that Carino engaged Gaga in the summer of 2017.

Months later in November, a source told Us Weekly that the couple did get engaged over the summer, and that Carino even asked Gaga’s father for permission.

However, the couple never publicly confirmed the news.

Christian Carino, 49, is a big-time Hollywood agent who represents the likes of Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Harry Styles and Simon Cowell.

American rapper, 2 Chainz whose real name is Tauheed Epps recently wedded Kesha Ward, his longtime girlfriend and mother of his three children at the Versace mansion.

The star-studded wedding was indeed much talked about. The setting for the wedding was atop the pool at the Versace mansion. His best man was Lil Wayne.

Kesha and 2Chainz had a very public engagement on the steps of the 2018 Met Gala, where they were invited as guests by Donatella Versace herself. It was not surprising that the two tied the knot at the magnificent ocean Drive mansion that was formerly Gianni Versace’s.

2 Chainz was the brain behind the wedding.

”I know Tauheed has exotic taste, so I let him take the reins of the wedding [planning], but I gave him some guidance on what I was looking for” Kesha told Vogue.

The trend of quick engagements for young celebrities continues as People reports that Nick Jonas has proposed to Priyanka Chopra.

The couple has been publically dating for two months, though they actually attended the Met Gala together last year, allegedly because they were both wearing Ralph Lauren.

While it’s not clear when the duo truly got together, they have both met each other’s families already. The Quantico star was introduced to the Jonas clan at the wedding of Nick’s cousin, while the “Jealous” singer traveled to India with his beloved to meet Priyanka’s mother.

The Jonas family will have plenty of celebrating in the next year, as older brother Joe Jonas of DNCE has been engaged to Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner since December.

As of now, the couple hasn’t made an official announcement or shared a ring photo. This is yet another celebrity trend, even among those who went public with their engagement. Supermodel Karlie Kloss and new fiancé Joshua Kushner waited to announce their engagement for a few weeks, and when they did share the news on Instagram, neither photo that was posted showcased the ring.

Pusha T married the love of his life Virginia Williams on Saturday in Virginia Beach, Va.

Pusha T (Terrence LeVarr Thornton) and his beautiful bride had been dating for 11 years before officially tying the knot on July 21, the same day of their engagement, which happened two years prior.

The two met at an album release party Pusha T told Brides and that the rest was history.

“I saw her from across the room at Hell Hath No Fury album release party in her hometown of Norfolk, Va. The rest was history!”

Their engagement was just as magical as their wedding. Virginia described the moment as quite a surprise.

“For whatever reason I see the number 721 almost everyday in crazy places. On 7/21/16 Terrence had me believing he was in LA, but popped up at our home in Bethesda. He told me to meet him on our rooftop terrace…when I did he was on one knee and asked me to marry him at 7:21 pm! I said yes!,” said Virginia.

As for their special day, it was filled with family, friends and their celebrity besties, including best man Pharrell Williams. Others in attendance included Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Karen Civil.

The event was officiated by Pusha T’s brother Gene “No Malice” Thornton.

The bride described her wedding as “Fancy, but not uptight,” and this was probably the first time a celebrity wedding lived up to that. They chose the Virginia Beach location because the pair wanted it to be accessible for family.

The pair did their first dance to Curtis Mayfield’s “Makings of You.”And it wouldn’t be a celeb wedding without musical performances, Pusha T himself got on the mic as well as Fabulous.

But the cutest touch to their reception: they gifted all their attendees with Adidas slides so they could dance all night.

The happy couple are now in Greece for their eight-day honeymoon.

The parents of the groom are one of the most respected couples in Nollywood and the Nigerian entertainment industry as a whole. The groom’s parents met in 1981 at the National Theatre, Lagos during the 21st Independence anniversary.
