Lady Gaga finally confirmed engagement to Christian Carino at Elle‘s 25th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles on Monday. Lady Gaga confirmed the rumours by saying “my fiancé Christian” during her speech.

In her words:

“Thank you to all the loved ones in my life,” Gaga said, according to Cosmopolitan. “Bobby [Campbell, her manager], I love you. Everyone at table five. My fiancé, Christian. All the loved ones in my life who take care of me every day.”

Rumours had it that Carino engaged Gaga in the summer of 2017.

Months later in November, a source told Us Weekly that the couple did get engaged over the summer, and that Carino even asked Gaga’s father for permission.

However, the couple never publicly confirmed the news.

Christian Carino, 49, is a big-time Hollywood agent who represents the likes of Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Harry Styles and Simon Cowell.

The just-concluded Emmy’s award was a spectacular one also given the fact that Oscar director, Glenn Weiss proposed to his girlfriend during his acceptance speech.

After speaking about his mother’s recent death, he slowly progressed to his proposal.

”I’m really grateful to be here but it’s bittersweet,” he started. “The person most proud at this moment would be my mom, and she passed away just two weeks ago. A part of my heart is broken, I don’t think it will ever be repaired. But she’s in me and she always will be. Mom always believed in finding the sunshine in things and she adored my girlfriend Jan Svendsen. Jan, you are the sunshine in my life. And Mom was right: don’t ever let go of your sunshine. You wonder why I don’t like to call you my girlfriend? Because I want to call you my wife.”

This got the audience totally excited and they applauded excitedly.

The lucky lady of the night (Jane) came up to the stage, of course, said yes, and Weiss put his mother’s ring on her finger in front of the entire crowd.

It was one amazing moment!
